Come Out
Today's Word
Jesus' friend Lazarus dies. When Jesus gets to the tomb, Lazarus has been dead four days. Martha says: Lord, if you'd been here, he wouldn't have died. Jesus weeps. Then he shouts at a dead body: "Lazarus, come out!" And Lazarus walks out of the tomb, still wrapped in burial cloths.
Real Talk
Jesus didn't say "well, it's been too long" or "the situation is too far gone." He stood at a tomb that smelled like death and commanded life. Whatever feels dead in your life - a friendship, a dream, your faith, your motivation - Jesus doesn't check how long it's been dead. He calls it by name and tells it to come out. But here's the thing: someone else had to roll the stone away and untie Lazarus. Resurrection is God's work, but it often requires human hands. Who's helping you get untied?
One Prayer
Jesus, there are dead things in my life I've given up on. Call them out. Send people to untie me. Amen.
Your Challenge
Name one dead thing. Pray over it today. Then ask one person to help you roll the stone away.
